Covered Up
Top and Skirt by Tart Collections // Shoes by Christian Louboutin // Sunglasses by Quay
This year almost every brand has done their version of the two-piece dress and while I am kind of in love with them all, my favorite silhouette at the moment is one that hugs the body with super-fitted, long sleeves. So what I’m telling you is this combo by Tart Collections has me feeling all the all the feelings. I’ve said it before, I love a look that can be worn together but then split up to make multiple outfits…that is what I like to call budget friendly and an investment (I always use the word “investment” if it’s something I want that I can get a lot of mileage out of)--Look mom, at how responsible I am.
Of course I love a crop top but I am all about maxi skirts for the fall. Why are they my jam? Because, worn as a full matching look or even with a sloppy tank, all you have to do is throw on a leather jacket a boots (thigh-high if the skirt has a slit) to really amp it up a notch…of course, that is way too many layers for what we’ve got going on in LA right now but I don’t mind living vicariously through my friends in the South who will soon be suffering through temperatures below 60 because I know that one day, we too will experience that...even if it is because of 200 mph winds. Thank you El Niño for keeping the dream alive.
