Each day when I dress myself I feel confused as to who I am. Am I too punk rock for this? Should I move to an all kale, gluten-free diet? Or am I just a bonafide gym rat who should throw on Alo leggings and call it a day? I recently turned 31 and frankly, I should know by now. Typically, like most people, I find myself somewhere in the middle without time to label myself before I run out the door; but there are times when I have a Pilates class immediately after work and a leather AllSaints jacket - my right hand - is the only thing that saves me from looking like I am on my way to try out for the next season of some fitness show I am way under-qualified for.

When I saw this sheer Free People dress in their catalogue I felt like it was everything I wanted to be in life and though NSFW with the underpinnings I prefer, it is coworker friendly when you throw a slip under it. This dress alone has inspired a revolution in my closet and influenced purchases outside of the athleisure realm. When it finally met my right hand...they immediately fell in love and Battle 1 of my closet’s internal war had a winner.
