My Lucky Seven: Emily Hache

As I stylist, I have to say that the best part of my job is to be constantly surrounded by talented individuals who have a gift of not only turning out the client but inspiring people as well. When I’m really lucky, those long days on set turn into friendships, margaritas and homemade pizza at 2am; at least that’s what happened when I met the magical Emily Hache lightyears ago in the makeup room at E!

Originally from Rockford, Illinois, Emily was always playing with her mom and grandma’s makeup and hair products and decided at the ripe age of TWO that she should move to LA one day. Luckily for Hollywood, she didn’t let go of that and now her roster includes everyone from Chris Hemsworth (swoon) and Joseph Gordon-Levitt to Olivia Munn, Milla Jovovich and Maria Menounos. “My favorite part of my job is making someone feel confident and loving the way they look,” she said. “To see them smile at themselves in the mirror and love what they see is priceless.” She does warn the public that the biggest mistakes women make are wearing the wrong color of foundation and applying too much makeup. Instagram “artists," are you listening?

I asked my friend - who was likely unwinding after a 12 hour shoot day with a glass of wine in bed - to give up her seven favorite beauty products (including things she uses on clients as well as what she can’t live without at home) and...drumroll please. Here they are.

1. Jouer Anti Aging Moisture Primer {$38}

I’ve never been a fan of primers until I found this one. It makes the foundation glide on like silk and does not ball up like so many of them do. It is also super moisturizing and gives your skin a healthy dewy glow. It really makes your complexion look fab.

2. The Lip Slip by Sara Happ {$24}

This is the best lip balm I have ever tried! It is so amazing in so many ways. Extremely hydrating, super glossy but not sticky, plumps your lips and brings out your lips’ own natural color. I am truly obsessed with this product.

3. Oribe Dry Texture Spray {$44}

You want that beach texture wave that all the celebs are rocking? Then you must own this texture spray. It smells amazing, isn’t sticky and creates volume and texture while absorbing oil in your roots. This is a texture spray and dry shampoo all in one. MUST HAVE!

4. Chanel Le Volume De Chanel Mascara {$32}

I’ve been searching for the perfect mascara for years and I think I finally found my go-to. It gives your lashes unbelievable volume and keeps them from falling. It separates and creates length. It’s also not a total bitch to take off at night!

5. MAC Select Moisturecover Concealer {$19}

This is by far my fave concealer. It is moisturizing, covers dark circles and blemishes well and does not get cakey. It also comes in a wide variety of colors so you can find your perfect match easily. It’s also not crazy expensive.

6. Armani Luminous Silk Foundation {$62}

100% my favorite foundation. It’s oil free and goes on sheer while being buildable for added coverage. It’s very hydrating and makes the skin look flawless.

7. Jane Iredale D20 Hydration Spray {$29}

This is fantastic for setting your makeup. It also gives you some added moisture to the skin and creates a dewy look. Use it throughout the day to refresh you makeup and your skin.
