Dress: Donna Mizani (similar) // Shoes: Marc by Marc Jacobs // Necklace: Onch Movement for Hello Kitty Forever // Cuff: C.C.Skye // Leaf Ring:Melinda Maria // Double Ring:Nicole Meng // Love Knot Ring(pinky): Ariel Gordon // Lips: NARS Lipstick in Schiap

Funny story about this dress, I bought it with intentions of it being my go-to working girl look. It must have been a hot SoCal day. However, the more I wear it, I am convinced that throwing on a a neutral blazer for coverage and a small heel like these Marc by Marc Jacobs (which are about 7 years old I should add) will transform it to an office appropriate look.

I am becoming increasingly obsessed with bright colors. It always happens around this time of year, my all-black wardrobe is replaced (at least a few days a week) by bright, Barbie colors that pop. But something thatis new is my use of Lipstick…uh huh. Since the day I first snuck mascara in my backpack in junior high I have been a gloss girl, I judge people with lipstick on their teeth and am drawn to a more low-maintenance look. Until now. Maybe I’ve found my inner Nicki Minaj because I am all about NARS Semi Matte Lipstick and actually stalked every Los Angeles Sephora until I finally found it in Schiap. This product squashed all of my feelings of hesitation when I realized, not only does it lack smear factor but it is also long lasting. This is what I’ve been missing in my life. And while I'll never completely let go of my black-on-black ensembles and Prrr lipgloss by MAC, it’s fun to step out of the comfort zone every other day or so.
