Queen of Venice
I recently had another editorial come out for Bello Magazine and it was extra exciting to see it all come to life because this is concept I wanted to do for a while. First of all, we shot the entire spread at Venice Beach landmarks and when you shoot on that boardwalk, you get everything that comes with it. The Good, The Bad, The Ugly...the location becomes part of the story. I really wanted to go for the “Classy Ratchet” look here and get away from what I do a lot of which is TV and red carpets, pairing the dressier with more casual to balance out the look and keep it cohesive but actually wearable enough that you forget this girl has on a ball gown tutu with docs. I also mixed big brands like Topshop and G-Star with the local favorites we all love Dimepiece, Whitney Eve and UNIF to really get a true SoCal vibe; and talk about friends in high places, we got to shoot with a ’58 Chevy Impala in a No Parking Zone. Dust that shoulder right off.
