Black or White
Top by Topshop // Skirt by Monki // Waistcoat by Alice + Olivia // Heels by YSL // Necklace by Nasty Gal (sold out - similar)
You know how Michael Jackson said “You can be my baby it don’t matter if you’re black or white?” Of course you do. But if it were my closet talking it would say “as long as you’re black or white” because these last few weeks, that’s all I can see. I don’t know if it is a phase I am going through (most likely not) but even at work I am pulling more of the non-color colors than usual. (Check out my new client, Zuri Hall’s instagram @zurihall - we are seriously having a moment).
I bought this Alice + Olivia waistcoat in black a few years ago and as soon as it came out in white I snatched it too. It’s my favorite thing to throw on over a tank and jeans or in this case, a skirt and crop when the LA temps don’t allow for a true blazer. I’ve been searching for the right high-waisted, fitted skirt for a while now and finally found one on my trip to London at Monki (love that place) and it works with even the croppiest of crop tops. I did swing for a pop of color in my throwback YSLs but that was only because I haven’t worn them in a while, a black strappy would have made me just as happy.
