Bury Me in Overalls

Yeehaw Y’all! I woke up one morning and the need to wear overalls was real. It’s not something I can explain because I’m not exactly a country bumpkin’ but there’s something about the slouchy garb that echoes “Make it work,” because you just want to. Overalls are tricky, to avoid looking like a total slob you need to keep it tight up top. As much as the comfy dungarees give you a push in the slouch direction, there has to be some balance. I went for a fitted, cropped top (shocking) that I found at Bloomingdales and to play with the feeling of the look, my newest AllSaints booties. At this point, I honestly felt like I could go to brunch in West Hollywood or cow tippin’ back on the farm so I dropped one of the straps on this baggy denim pair to loosen it up and remind myself where I am. I guess you can take the girl out of Kentucky...
