Friends, I’m gonna be painfully honest, ever since she chopped off her hair and dyed it platinum…I’m a little bit obsessed with Miley Cyrus. Judgements warranted, now we can move past that. I’ve said before that I’ve gotten into the habit of dressing a little more casual for work and there are three of my go-to's hidden in this look. 1) A hat hides a bad hair day. Le duh right? But sometimes oversized fedoras get old and baseball caps are a little too casual so I often opt for scripted beanie like this one the Gubby gave me and yes, even in the summer…Gangsta. 2) Leather dresses up a look. Shorts are already super casual so instead of pulling out the usual June cut-offs, go with a leather option instead (this substitution will solve many a first date dilemmas). 3) Wedge sneaker for the lift. By now we’ve seen every wedge sneaker imaginable but I love this one by Nike because it really looks more like a street sneaker than a wedge, so you’re getting the lift your legs want without looking like you’re on the bandwagon.
