Every once in a while it’s nice to put away the dark colors and neons in lieu of softer, more feminine colors to remind yourself that you’ve still got it. Over the past few years my style has really developed into me (nothing like those awkward post-college years when you’re trying to “find” yourself). One thing that has never changed, though, is that I don’t like anything that looks too girly or pretty, so when I have an outfit that fits my style and is actually ladylike at the same time, I don’t know what to do with myself…like, do I wear it everyday now?

I really love Zara’s spring color palette because it offers perfect pieces to accomplish a softer look of the style I’m into-and don’t worry lovers of ruffles and empire waists, they’re available too. Nudes and pastels can be difficult pre-pool party with no tan (trust, the gubby pointed that out) but if you’re feeling it you can pull it off. Because the neckline was so high and clean, it begged for a single statement piece and I went for my favorite “Cool” Necklace by AV Max (much more affordable that the Lanvin version…leaving enough $$ leftover for those Loubs you’ve been eyeing). And yes, I wore this out in West Hollywood and if the prettiest boys in LA approve it, style archive that ish.
