I am not a Kardashian fan by nature but because I include Topshop in my Top 5 Places to Shop, it was inevitable that there would be a few pieces in the brand’s collab with Kendall & Kylie that I would feel the need to live with and maybe, accidentally wear on the reg. I originally pulled this matching top/shorts combo for a photoshoot I did for Bello Mag (images released later this month-stay tuned) but as fate would have it, I couldn’t part ways and it ended up on my Visa instead.
I love the idea of this set because at first glance it looks like a romper, a trend that my long torso refuses to let me be a part of. I’m also drawn to the floral aspect of it. Trust, when you’ve worked with a Reggae Pop band for over a year you learn to appreciate these types of things and find yourself subconsciously seeking them out. For this look I completely went with that vibe and played with color in the accessories which I usually don’t do and am finally featuring my favorite fringe-covered bag and a old school pair of Mulberry sandals I ended up with during my interning days.
While I am into the head-to-toe beach vibe, the best part of this set is that you can also wear it apart for so many more looks and different vibes all together. My favorite way to wear these high-waist shorts is with a fitted crop and a blazer for a more dressed-up look but I have also been known to throw them on with a black sweatshirt and converse to run errands. The top is great with a simple pair of black jeans for an effortless approach. Too many looks to count for the price of one…it doesn’t get much better than that.
