Sweater: The Kooples // Shorts: One Teaspoon Rollers // Shoes: Stuart Weitzman // Beanie: Neff
While the rest of America is experiencing what I vaguely remember to be changing seasons, in LA we are still falling asleep to the sweet pain of 90 degree sweats. But because I am a self-diagnosed masochist and it is OCTOBER, I will now often wake up in the morning, in those few hours of breeze where I think “this could be the day,” and put on a sweater as if I am trying to subconsciously manifest a drop in temperature. So far, we’re all still hot.
Regardless, I love the cut-offs and oversized sweater look and coziness it brings with it. While jeans are fun, I have to draw that line in the sand somewhere when the sun is this bright. My current brand obsession is The Kooples (and dudes, their men’s collection is on point)-I like how the safety pin details on this very warm, but otherwise simple sweater, give it a little edge without being cheeseballs-I loathe a sequined knit. (If you’re doing a little online shopping, it runs true to size and Nordstrom has this same sweater in oxblood, which is forever my favorite fall color. Win.) My accessory of choice will always be a hat and keeping in the spirit of conjuring up fall weather, I opted for a Neff beanie from my expansive collection in a lady-like mint. Angelenos, I’m doing this for you…the rain dance is next.
