Out There on the Maroon

Stella & Jamie is one of my favorite brands out there right now. I was first introduced to the line about four years ago and started carrying their iPad bag as a handbag because it had fringe on it and…why wouldn’t I? Naturally, the collections have evolved so much since then and I can’t help but love the mix-n-match potential of the pieces. It’s nice that they offer girlier pieces like this fawn skirt but also more edgy items like a top with bold shoulders and leather jackets to balance out looks. Perfect pieces that fit well and form to your body that work together or with everyday items everyone already has in their closet. Swap out the blouse you were going to wear with your favorite denim for one of the brand’s more structured tops and it will clean up the look and show some originality.

I tried a darker lip with this look because: FALL and Cèline. Another thing great about wearing neuters is that you are able to amp up the beauty routine and do some things that might be out of your comfort zone, even if you end the day with that perfect nude you can’t live without…and I’m still talking about gloss ;)
