Flared Up
Dress: Mason by Michelle Mason // Shoes: Christian Louboutin
My favorite silhouette might always be fitted on top with a little A-line action on bottom. Why the girly choice from someone who spends most of her days in oversized tanks and flannels? Well, it is flattering on almost any body type because it shows off your waist while hiding those hips and butt (or hiding the fact that you have no hips and butt) and some days you just want to dress like a lady. This is the dress that makes most body types equal. The stylist in me also loves it for its clean lines which look good on camera and in photographs-so have your iPhones charged if you’re heading out with your girls wearing it. I found this dress at Barneys a few months ago when I was shopping for clients and it was a rare occasion when I had to take a 5 minute pause and excuse myself to the fitting room. The color really caught my attention but after I tried it on, I loved it because it was a dress you can wear basically anywhere. From the office to a night out to dinner with his family, the cut is not too questionable to see the inside of a church nor too conservative to work its magic out on a Saturday night. Hello versatility. I think this dress already handed me my money’s worth in wear.
