I am currently, and newly, obsessed with the brand Lovemarks. First of all, my clients love it (just ask KG and Bethany Kelly) and second, there are tops that have denim and lace -at the same time…two of my favorite things. When they sent me this top earlier this season, I had no idea it was going to instantly become the most worn piece in my closet. Honestly, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been in that panicked rush, the one where you’re supposed to leave the house 10 minutes ago or someone is waiting outside for you and you’re starting to feel the sweat, when I have grabbed this clutch option. Or when I’ve left for work in the morning knowing a night out with no time for wardrobe change would follow. The dude behind the counter at Crossroads Trading Co. even tried to buy it off me when I was wearing it…um, nice try.

Because it is such a light wash it works with darker denim but I can’t resist throwing it on with a pair of black jeans, like this reversible pair by Bleulab. The shiny wax coating dresses this denim up but I cuffed the bottom to make the look more casual (plus show off the reverse side’s animal print). The top is very light and Springy while the jeans are on the heavier side -obvs- so I smoothed out the contrasting pieces with a nude pump. I accessorized the look’s bohemian side with some of my favorite bangles and extra turquoise, there must always be turquoise. The perfect day-to-night look.
