There are few goodbyes sadder than the one said to the last three-day weekend of summer. For the better part of those days, I am in between different bikinis only changing for a night out or the occasional tank top break (nothing is worse than a wet bikini top). And around these parts, board shorts and bandeau tops are as appropriate at any restaurant as your Sunday’s finest…so why fix what isn’t broken?

I am a huge supporter of dragging out the summer days as long as possible so often, instead of completely covering up and heading to the corner market or Venice rooftop bar, I loosely layer up letting my latest swimwear find become the ensemble’s front and center. Accessorizing said look usually includes an open denim button-up with cut-offs or a plaid flannel, baseball cap and Tom's...sans my staple tank top. Perfect for any westside night that comes with a holiday break and my favorite way to move  a look from day to night.
