Dress: Boulee via The Stylist LA // Shoes: Givenchy // Earrings: Marc by Marc Jacobs // Clutch: 3.1 Phillip Lim // Watch: Movado // Coordinates Bracelet: Coordinates Collection // Nail Bracelet: Giles & Brother

I have to admit that I’ve gotten into a comfortable, casual, going-out uniform in LA, especially since leaving boring Beverly Hills in lieu of the laid-back Santa Monica lifestyle. Sometimes though, it’s nice to put away the skinny jeans and get a little more dressed up with somewhere to be. In those instances, there’s nothing better than a little black leather dress that requires very little back-up. I found this exposed-back Boulee dress at my girl’s showroom, The Stylist LA (pretty much the best place to find something for a night out, especially if you’re in a time crunch). I love an all-black dress that still has some flavor and this has the double-whammy with its open back and all-leather-everything. I kept the accessories minimal with my left wrist staples and a black-and-white heel that’s not too distracting…a pop of color is not always necessary.

Also, after a long month of driving World’s Worst Rental Car, saying “Goodbye” to the Jetta who made the cross-country move with me and the torture that comes with trying to find the perfect whip for schlepping garment bags, bumpin’ Drake and sitting in LA traffic, I finally bought my unicorn. The ride I’ve needed since I was old enough to know you get to pick these things. Proving that good things come to those who wait, or those who cross paths with an illegitimate driver on Wilshire Blvd. *Sigh* Silver Linings.
