Beyond the Pines

I always love a chance to get a little more creative than the norm, so when Zaki came to me with a mood board that was grunge at it’s finest I was right on board and we knew we had to arrange it so that we could shoot with Tommy O’Reilly: actor/model/writer/The 6 Enthusiast. We shot it around the Greek Theater in Griffith Park and in the cages of the old LA Zoo. The groomer, Despina Scandalis, applied fake tatts on Tommy (I mean, could you die) and style wise I did a lot of layering with leathers and denim mixed with the tattered tees from Early Morning Rebel and a pair of Mason's sweats that were hard to part with. Oh, then there’s that shirtless shot…The spread is out in Bello Magazine’s Fashion Issue this month and I have that plus all the outtakes that didn’t make it to print right here.

Sidenote: I’ve styled a lot of guys in my career, but not for nothing, none have brought in the overload of texts from the female population as this editorial did. Ladies and gentlemen, Mister Tommy O’Reilly.
