Dear Justin Bobby

Okay friends, I’m going to start this post by saying...I don’t think I single-handedly manifested this MTV reboot of The Hills...but I will say, I have been putting Justin Bobby’s name out into the universe A LOT lately and that may or may not have something to do with it. That’s all. I’m serious. I did this all by myself, you’re welcome Spencer Pratt.

So the clothes. I’ve had this MTV tank from American Eagle for years and while I’ve always been a fan of a midriff, lately I’ve been cutting shirts into a micro-crop so that a little bra makes an appearance (or underboob if that’s your thing). This is especially effective in athleisure because most sports bras are meant to be seen - and are also getting strappier and strappier - I love that so much. Because these wide-leg Acler pants have such a high-waist and so much coverage I decided to bring my fabric sheers into a day-to-day outfit and yes, this is something I would definitely wear out, think of it as layering :)

If you are into the idea of a shorter crop with a lingerie appearance but aren’t comfortable showing that much skin, you can accomplish the same vibe with a fuller sports bra (LOVE these three from Carbon38: Year of Ours, Beach Riot, Carbon38). If you want to keep it a little sexier and less sporty, Victoria’s Secret has loads of lace options with a longer cut; the Multi-WayMalibu Bustier and Long Line Demi are some of my favorites. The key is to keep your shirt long enough (or short enough) so that just an inch or so of your bra shows - shout out to Allen Zaki for telling me to put the scissors down when we did this shoot, otherwise this entire post would be dedicated to Justin Bobby - is anyone else listening to "Unwritten" right this second? Oh yeah, me neither.
